In Harhmony is the Center for Hmong Arts & Talent’s (CHAT) a cappella choir, and the first known Hmong-interest a cappella choir in the world.
Our program mission is to create a more inclusive a cappella and music community – advancing access to music for those who are underprivileged. Furthermore, to promote the Hmong culture and language and provide opportunities for novice and experienced musicians to explore a cappella through ethnic and contemporary music.
In Harhmony is a Hmong-interest a cappella group that started in November 2014 through the Center for Hmong Arts & Talent. The group currently comprises of 15 members of all backgrounds and ages, and performs many genres of music from Hmong classics to contemporary American pop. A cappella is a style of music that has no instrumental accompaniment – using only voices to produce sounds, melodies, and beats.
