Volunteers WANTED for Fresh Traditions VI Planning Committee

CHAT is seeking creative and dedicated individuals to be on the Fresh Traditions VI Fashion Show Planning Committee for 2012. In addition to the responsibilities listed in the descriptions below, all committee members will be required to meet regularly each month.

Hair & Make-Up Coordinator

  • Work directly with each Fashion Designer to consult & create hair & make-up look for each collection
  • Recruit  and coordinate hair & make-up artists to work with each designer
  • Supervision and management of execution on day of event
  • Keeping records of contact information
  • Communicating between hair & make-up team and planning committee

Model Coordinator: Train and coach the models

  • Working directly with each designer to select models
  • Recruiting and coordinating models to work with each designer
  • Coordination of model coaching training
  • Supervision and management of execution on day of event
  • Keeping records of contact information
  • Communicating between models and planning committee

Volunteer Coordinator:  Engage the community in participating in FTVI

  • Recruitment of volunteers for day-of event
  • Keeping records of contact information
  • Creating and implementing training
  • Supervision and management of volunteers day –of event
  • Communicating between volunteers and planning committee

Backstage Coordinator: Keep everything in line back stage for a smoother front stage

  • Determine, coordinate and manage backstage access details
  • Work with volunteer coordinator to determine staffing requirements
  • Create an effective front-house and backstage communication plan/system
  • Supervise and manage backstage details day-of event

Marketing and Communications

  • Check FT3 email account once a day
  • Create email auto-response
  • Sort emails and forward to appropriate committee contact
  • Design and manage all social networking accounts (myspace, facebook, etc.)
  • Collect contact information and manage email database

Volunteers will be notified by February 10, 2012.  Selected volunteers are required to attend a mandatory orientation at the CHAT Studio 995 University Ave, suite 220 Saint Paul, MN 55104.
