Isaiah stole the show with his charisma and upbeat songs – his 1st place prize package includes a professional recording, mixing and mastering of a single track (up to 20 hours of recording time) with Essential Sessions Studios in St. Paul, a $500 Gift Certificate to a local instrument store of choice (Isaiah chose Guitar Center), a featured article in Hmong Today newspaper and a featured in studio performance on CHAT Radio (KFAI.org). Watch Isaiah performing his “Waffle Song” on CHAT’s YouTube channel here.
We also want to thank all the other finalists – Cody Lee, Pong Vang, Kaying Xiong and Tony Yang – for an excellent job during both rounds of the competition. Isaiah and all of the finalists are receiving a one-on-one professional artist consultation with Springbaord for the Arts (valued at $40), as well as $100 gift certificates towards professional development workshops.
CHAT is looking forward to great new music from all of these talented musicians.
