The Center for Hmong Arts and Talent’s 9th Annual Hmong Arts and Music Festival is now accepting camera work submissions for short and feature-length films and videos by Hmong artists. Accepted films and videos will be shown inside the Film Tent at the Festival.
The Center for Hmong Arts and Talent invites you to celebrate our existence at the 9th Annual Hmong Arts and Music Festival. This year’s theme is “A Hmong Us.” The Festival will have displays of artwork that represents each artists’ perspective on being “A Hmong” in America, so we ask you to be “Among Us” to witness an illumination of the Hmong American Experience.
Last year, the festival drew in an estimated 3,500 people and we only expect more this year! The festival will take place on Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 11:00am – 8:00pm at the Western Sculpture park in St. Paul, MN.
There is no entry fee. This film tent is not a competition, but an exhibition of works. Please send any and all work that you would like to be considered for screening by July 15th, 2010 in DVD format to CHAT @ 995 University Ave W, Suite 220; St. Paul, MN 55104.
